Visit and meet Bahía de Las Águilas and its exaggerated crystalline waters



 Bay of the eagles is a locality in the province Pedernales, which has virgin beaches with crystal clear waters and extremely white sands and incomparable beauty. In addition, this bay has a coral reef of great importance at the international level.  Bay of the eagles account with the largest beach of crystalline around the world, with an extension of 37 kilometers of length is part of the National Park of Jaragua. The species that live there or better said the fauna that this bay has, goes from manatee, a cousin of whales, which species  is in danger of extinction.

 Also the hawksbill turtles, which are a species in danger of extinction and the iguana as well as many other animals and different types of fish. Being part of the National Park of Jaragua, converts this Bay in an area protected by the State. Visitors who come to Bahia de las Aguilas, if they are going to camp there, should make the campfire far from the shores of the beach, since this is the area used by the hawksbill turtles to lay their eggs and the heat generated by a campfire would be fatal for these defenseless creatures.

 This area is a place of much value for the Dominican people, for this reason is an area maintained with many safety by the competent authorities even people who live near the Bay also caring this area with many jealousy.  Due that, this is houses of the largest part of the hawksbill turtle UNESCO has declared the national park as a global reserve and place of global importance, which makes this park in heritage of humanity and It must be careful not only by Dominicans, but that each visitor from another country  who come to enjoy the beauty of this park which is no longer just the Dominicans but of all human beings.
