The National Zoo is one of the most visited places by families and one of the favorite places of the Child, this huge Zoo was founded in the year 1975 and its location is in the Arroyo Salado sector.
The National Zoo of Santo Domingo has a great variety of animals as reptiles, mammals and birds, both from America and Africa, this is one of the largest zoos in Latin America. Each of the animals of the zoo of Santo Domingo has a recreation of their natural habitat to make more pleasant the stay of such animals inside the zoo.
This park is one of the main attractions that the city of Santo Domingo, the authorities responsible for this park are striving to always keep the dynamics in terms of the variety of species both mammals, reptiles and birds, at the end of all types of animals which can live in tropical climate, this is done like that for maintain the flow of visitors that arrive to the zoo, both the local visitors as foreigners, enjoy this great variety of animals found there.
